The .338 Lapua Magnum cartridge is a caliber used by the Arctic Warfare Super Magnum in the Counter-Strike series. There is no other weapon that uses this cartridge.

OverviewEdit

The .338 Lapua Magnum (8.6x70mm or 8.58x70mm) is a specialized rimless bottlenecked centerfire cartridge developed for military long-range sniper rifles.

It is an extremely powerful cartridge which can kill an enemy with a single-shot on any part of the body except for the legs. Due to its great power, the player can only hold small amounts of the cartridge.

Ammunition managementEdit

• $125 per magazine of 10 rounds. It is the most expensive ammo in Counter-Strike games.
• The maximum amount of .338 Lapua Magnum rounds a player can carry is 30 (three full spare magazines), costing a total of $375.
• There is no other weapon that uses this cartridge. Due to his, be sure to buy enough magazines to avoid ammunition debt. However, one full spare magazine is more than enough, depending on the amount of enemy players.

Condition Zero: Deleted ScenesEdit

This cartridge can be found in clips and ammo boxes:

• The small ammo box gives 10 rounds of .338 Lapua Magnum (one full magazine).
• The large ammo box gives 20 rounds of .338 Lapua Magnum (two full magazines).

• In Real-life the AWP is chambered with 7.62 NATO or other bullets, while the AWM use the .338 Lapua Magnum.
