Chris Voss is a level designer for Counter-Strike: Condition Zero. He is the creator of the map Corruption and the mission Motorcade Assault.

Biography[]

Chris Voss' first publicly released level design work was a map called Burn Cycle for Quake II, released in April 1999.[1] He had designed some levels previously, but felt that they were not good enough to be released to the public.[2] Voss also used to be part of a hobbyist map design team called the Fresh Team devoted to mapping for the Quake series.[3]

Voss' first credited commercial level design work was at Arush Entertainment where he worked on Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project.[4] Following his employment at Arush, Chris moved on to Ritual Entertainment.

When Ritual Entertainment took over the development of Counter-Strike: Condition Zero and Counter-Strike (Xbox), Voss would contribute to the level design of both titles. He worked on both single-player missions and multiplayer maps in addition to doing organizational work for the multiplayer component.[5] Chris Voss would not see the projects through to the end as Ritual Entertainment encountered financial issues in June 2003 and some employees, including Voss, were let go.[6][7]

After leaving Ritual Entertainment, Voss was employed by Monolith Productions as a level designer.[8][4]
