Counter-Strike: Classic Offensive is modification created by independent developer ZooL for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. The first version was released in December 25, 2016.
The mod is for now taking both directions at the same time. Keeping the balance from 1.6, while removing the bugs that were in 1.6 which were fixed in CS:GO, but still by keeping the exact same maps as they were in 1.6 but at the same time keeping the improvements CS:GO introduced.
The mod was Greenlit on 15 February 2017 on Steam.
The biggest problem is about
sv_pure on dedicated servers which blocks the .vpk even if it's the same as the client but for now, only playing offline, or using the lobby to play with friends work.
