Overview

The HK69 was a single shot grenade launcher cut from the early stages of the Counter-Strike Beta.

Overview[]

The HK69 is a grenade launcher based on the real life Heckler & Koch HK69A1. It was originally intended to be included in the Counter-Strike Beta, but was cut from the game. Evidence of its intended appearance include the selection and kill icons within the in-game files as well as a weapon to come in text files documenting the weapons of the beta.[1]

Its price was not defined yet and its ammo, despite being cited as being the 40x46mm low-velocity grenade, was still being determined by the developers. Its total ammunition capacity and price per grenade also remain unknown. As the description found suggests ("This is for the pyros out there.") the weapon might have also used Flares or Incendiary rounds.

Said documents suggest that the weapon was very powerful as a direct or near direct hit would instantly kill the user's target or if not, deal high damage. As with the HE grenade, the weapon was not recommended at close range as it would end up killing its user in the process.
