“With its curved blade mimicking a tiger's claw, the karambit was developed as part of the southeast Asian martial discipline of silat. The knife is typically used with a reverse grip, with the finger ring on the index finger.”
The Karambit (also known as Kerambit) is a cosmetic knife available to players in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and is an extremely rare item received from opening certain weapons cases. The Karambit is one of the five original cosmetic knives introduced in the Arms Deal update.
The Karambit is cosmetic only, and shares the same performance as the default knife.
- The design of the knife is based on the real life United Cutlery Honshu Karambit.
- While the Karambit's view model shows the knife being held in a traditional grip, when viewed from its world model, the knife appears to be held in a more contemporary "pistol-grip" style.
- The World Model is designed particularly so the knife doesn't stick out farther than the traditional Player World Model and stick out around corners farther than anyone else.
- Arguably, the Karambit is one of the most sought-out and expensive knives in the Global Offensive player community due to its sleek design and flashy animations.
