The medkit is a healing item found in Counter-Strike, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, and Counter-Strike: Condition Zero Deleted Scenes.

Counter-Strike & Condition Zero

Depending on the diffculty, the maximum amount of health restored is 25 while in Hard mode, it is 15 health points. These are available due to the caching of the default GoldSrc elements from the original Half-Life. Since there is a significant difference between the Goldsrc and the Source engines, medkits do not appear in Counter-Strike: Source.
In some custom maps, medkits can be seen and is usable by players.

An unused medkit viewmodel can be found in the Deleted Scenes files files, using a purple colored C-4. It is probably a placeholder. This also indicates that the player was originally able to pick medkits and use them whenever he wanted to.
In-gameEdit
In each difficulty, the medkit heals a different amount of health:
- Restores 25 health points on the Easy difficulty.
- Restores 20 health points on the Medium difficulty.
- Restores 15 health points on the Hard difficulty.
