  • As with most Demolition maps, Stmarc is loosely based on a map from another Valve series, Left 4 Dead. It shares the basic layout with the first map (the Plank Country) of the campaign Swamp Fever from Left 4 Dead 2.
    • The boat Saint Ladia II that appears near the Terrorist spawn zone is re-used from Left 4 Dead 2 as well.
  • Upon closer inspection of the truck, it appears that the vehicle was sabotaged.
  • This map was originally designed for demolition, but was expanded to include arms races with the November 11, 2014 update.
